A SOUTHAMPTON college student proves his talent as he takes one step closer to being featured on the Brit awards album.

17-year-old Jordan Sheath is just one of ten musicians to make it through to The Big Music Project Competition regional final where he will be vying for a place in the national final.

Jordan said: “Earlier this year I volunteered to work with deprived children in South Africa where I entertained them with my guitar and singing. They inspired and encouraged me to release my debut EP.”

Jordan’s next task is to perform at The Bournemouth International Centre in front of industry professionals, who will then decide which acts make it through to the national final.

Excited about the competition, Jordan said: “I’ve been writing songs since I was nine and for them to be recognised by people in the music industry is amazing. I hope I can continue to impress them”.
