A THOUGHT-provoking play about a servant girl who sacrifices everything to protect an abandoned child is coming to Salisbury Playhouse.
Wiltshire College students will be putting on Bertolt Brecht’s The Caucasian Chalk Circle as their end of term production on Wednesday and Thursday, December 10 and 11, with free performances.
Set during a time of civil war, The Caucasian Chalk Circle explores what happens after peace is restored, when a boy’s mother returns to reclaim her son and a judge decides who should care for him by an ancient tradition.
Now in its second year, the college’s course gives aspiring teenage actors the chance to |work alongside professional theatre staff at the Malthouse Lane theatre.
Performances take place at 1.30pm on both days, with another performance at 7pm on the Thursday.
