THEY have been performing together for just over two years but have recently won four awards (best director, best actor in a musical, best musical and best overall production) for their version of La Cage Aux Folles.

Now SJ Theatre Productions return to the stage of the Theatre Royal Winchester with The Full Monty.

This musical version of The Full Monty follows six unemployed steel workers from Buffalo who are short of money and have little chance of finding employment.

They decide to stage a strip act at a local club after their wives enthuse about a professional stripper they have watched.

One of the guys promises that their show will be even better than the professional show as they will do the ‘full Monty’ and go all the way.

As they rehearse for their show they have to work through their fears, anxieties and embarrassment and overcome any demons they may have.

Spokesman for SJ Theatre Productions Sam Quested said ticket sales for the show are moving fast and hopes this is not down to our audiences hoping for a lighting misfunction!

The Full Monty will be performed at the Theatre Royal Winchester from Wednesday, March 18 until Saturday, March 21, 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
