CHAMELEON Theatre Company celebrate their 50th anniversary by bringing three episodes of the classic comedy Fawlty Towers to the stage.
Basil is determined to introduce a better class of clientele to the hotel with disastrous consequences in A Touch of Class!
See him bend over backwards to suck up to Lord Melbury, no matter what affect it has on the other guests. This was the first of 12 episodes and was originally screened in 1975.
There are three hotel inspectors in the area which sends poor Basil into a frenzy in The Hotel Inspectors. He has to go against his cantankerous nature and be “nice” to a succession of guests just in case!
Fawlty Towers and its staff don’t know what they’ve let themselves in for when they welcome the deaf and bad tempered Mrs Richards as a guest in Communication Problems.
Matters are made worse as she needs a new battery in her hearing aid, which results in a hilarious dialogue between her and Manuel amongst many other “communication problems”!
See them at the Ritchie Memorial Hall in Chandler’s Ford from Wednesday to Saturday. Call 0845 644 0496.
