MARTI Pellow and Maureen Nolan reprise their celebrated roles as Blood Brothers returns to the Mayflower stage next week.

Back by popular demand, the Wet Wet Wet singer and musical theatre star narrates the tragic tale, which sees Maureen return as the fourth record-breaking Nolan sister to play Mrs Johnstone.

Blood Brothers tells the captivating story of twin boys separated at birth, only to be reunited by a twist of fate and a mother's haunting secret.

The memorable score includes A Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It's Not True.

Written by Willy Russell, Blood Brothers has triumphed across the globe, scooping a number of awards for best musical in London and seven Tony Award nominations on Broadway.

This epic tale of Liverpool life ran in the West End for 24 years and exceeded 10,000 performances. It is one of only three musicals to achieve that milestone.

It has visited Southampton on many previous occasions and always plays to packed houses.

Tickets for the show, which runs from Tuesday to Saturday, are available by calling 023 8071 1811 or visit mayflower.org.uk.
