STREET Beatz Dance Academy return to the Nuffield Theatre stage with Oz, a colourful adaptation of the 1939 classic musical fantasy film The Wizard of Oz, in April.

With commercial street and hip-hop dance styles, young dancers from across the south will show off their skills in the production, which has been nearly a year in the making.

With a huge cast of over 100 dancers, some as young as two years old, the show also features a real dog!

Choreographer and school Principle Jessica Groves has said “After months of hard work and dedication, the children and our Street Beatz team are excited to see our magical Oz production coming together.

"We have had so much fun working on it and have spent hours and hours on costume, set design and rehearsals. For many of our dancers it will be their first time performing on stage and they are all very excited.

"Our aim as a dance school is not only to put on a great show but hopefully create an opportunity for all the children and parents to make lots of fond memories to cherish for many years to come.”

Limited tickets for Oz, on April 1 and 2, are available from nuffieldtheatre.co.uk or on 023 8067 1771.
