FOUR rising stars of the comedy circuit appear at Theatre Royal Winchester tomorrow night as part of Winchester Comedy Festival.

The comedy gala features appearances from Tom Price, Kerry Godliman, Rhys James and Ellie Taylor.

Tom Price is an actor perhaps best known for his regular appearances in Torchwood and Stella. He began his career as a standup comedian in 2011 and supported Stephen Merchant’s European tour in 2014.

Kerry Godliman is an accomplished actor, writer and stand-up who has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala. Most recently Kerry reprised her role as Hannah in Derek: The Special on Channel 4.

Rhys James began performing as a comedian in 2009 and has written material for Russell Howard’s Good News, Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Ellie Taylor is an ex-model who decided to give standup a go in 2011 and almost immediately won Company magazine’s Lady HaHa title. She was soon invited to be a contestant on the ITV series Show Me Funny. She presented Snog Marry Avoid? on BBC Three and last year made her debut on BBC’s Mock The Week. Ellie recently toured the UK with her solo show Elliementary.
