REGENT Rep, the Regent Centre’s renowned ‘in-house’ company, is auditioning for its next production - Charles Dickens’s great French Revolutionary romance ‘A Tale of Two Cities’.
The production is at the Christchurch venue from Wednesday October 19 to Friday October 21.
There will be a Script Discussion at the Regent Studio, at the rear of the Centre at 7.30pm on Monday June 13, followed by Open Auditions at the Regent Studio on Monday June 20 at 7.30pm.
Rehearsals start on Monday June 27.
Writer Matthew Francis has ensured a thrilling, adaptation of Dickens’s classic novel. A Tale of Two Cities is an epic tale of love, revenge, sacrifice and redemption, played out in the shadow of the guillotine and against a backdrop of revolutionary terror. It’s a challenging and exciting piece of ensemble theatre with 40 parts that can be played by as few as ten actors. The production is directed by Anne Ponting and produced by Jackie Brocklesby.
Regent Rep, which received national acclaim when it reached the final of Sky Arts’ TV competition ‘Nation’s Best Am Dram’ in 2012.
