CULTURES clash when a middle class couple move from London to the north of England in Torben Bett’s hit comedy Invincible at Theatre Royal Winchester on Monday and Tuesday.
When they open their house to the couple next door, the scene is set for a hilarious north versus south battle. Over the course of a disastrous evening, the couples discover not only their differences but also experiences that they have in common. Betts describes Invincible as an ‘entertaining tragedy’.
Torben Betts is one of the most exciting playwrights to emerge since Alan Ayckbourn. He has written a number of plays including Muswell Hill and a stage adaptation of Get Carter.
Invincible sold out recently in the West End.
This brand new production is by the award-winning Original Theatre Company who brought Birdsong and Flare Path to Winchester.
