PANTO season is not over just yet. Oh no it's not!

The South's amateur thespians are still entertaining audiences with magical family pantomimes with something for everyone.

Members of RAODS are busy putting the final touches to Beauty and the Beast. This is a magical show that contains all the elements you would expect from a traditional pantomime including audience participation, hilarious gags, a wicked witch, and a talking French Poodle with anxiety issues!

It also retains much of the touching heartbreak, tension, and romance of the original fairy story.

Director Caroline Egg said: "We have a great mix of wonderful music, much of which has been written by our Musical Director Teddy Clements, and brilliant choreography by RAODS member Diane Phippen. I’m so pleased that the cast have all risen to the challenge, and now we’re all very excited about performing in front of our Romsey audiences next week."

The hero is Felix, a giant French Poodle who thinks he’s human and is owned by Beauty's brother Jacques. After being spurned by Prince Christophe, Malabelle the witch turns him into a Beast until true love's kiss and it snows indoors! A tall order you may think, but after many twists and turns our hero helps win the day.

Beauty and the Beast runs from Thursday to Saturday January 28.
