THEATRE for all the family and unmissable comedy are among the highlights of a packed autumn programme at The Berry Theatre in Hedge End.

Blackeyed Theatre, in association with South Hill Park, returns to the venue on November 10 with The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This gothic adaptation the production follows the company’s much acclaimed Dracula, a huge success last autumn.

The Berry Youth Theatre returns to the stage on November 18 and 19 with What is the sky made of? The show is inspired by the questions children ask, the answers we give them and the truth that exists in-between.

Michael Portillo presents Life: a game of two halves on October 28 to coincide with the launch of his new book.

The world-class Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers present an awe-inspiring performance, promising to captivate with thundering rhythms and infectious energy on November 16. This is an exclusive opportunity to see the most successful touring taiko drum group on this continent in the intimate setting of The Berry Theatre.

Comedian Kathy Lette brings a riotous Girls Night Out to the stage on November 30. Exploring life as a woman – from puberty to menopause – Kathy takes her audience on a witty, warm and frank journey.

The programme is also filled with wonderful children’s theatre as previously announced. Enjoy Little Angel Theatre presents Me…, Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company presents The Enormous Turnip and Tall Stories presents The Snow Dragon in October. Half Moon brings sensory adventure Leaf, which includes a post-show playtime, on November 4.

This Christmas The Berry Theatre welcomes Pickled Image with Santa’s Little Trolls, playing December 14 to 31. It features protesting puppets and perky people in a quirky festive treat.

Also enjoy a programme of film including screenings of Cars 3 and Maudie, and an Encore screening of The Young Vic’s production of Yerma, starring Billie Piper.
