PREPARE to Always Look on the Bright Side of Life as the side-slitting comedy Spamalot comes to Titchfield.

The smash-hit West End and Broadway musical written by former Monty Python star and legend Eric Idle is a hilarious, all singing and dancing version of the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Join King Arthur and his hapless band of adventurers as they travel around the land gathering his Knights of the Round Table. They are tasked with a divine mission to locate the elusive Holy Grail - with uproarious consequences. Spamalot is indeed a riotous comedy full of eccentric knights, killer rabbits, dancing nuns and extremely fierce Frenchmen.

There are plenty of comic tunes to bring a smile to the face of everyone throughout the evening: the forever popular and country’s favourite comic song, Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Brave Sir Robin, We’re Knights of the Round Table and The Song That Goes Like This. You will be dancing in the aisles whilst watching this hugely enjoyable production which is both whimsical and raunchy.

The theatre’s Artistic Director Kevin Fraser said, “We are absolutely delighted that Spamalot is coming to Titchfield. The musical’s Directors Rob King and Richard Hackett have assembled together a great team of performers for what is certain to be one of the highlights of the year. We will also be using our magnificent new Compton organ for the very first time in a show here at Titchfield. It promises to be a real treat!”

The music and fun starts with the premier performance on Wednesday 13 September at 7.30pm. Further evening performances will be held on September 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21 and 22, closing on Saturday September 23. There is also a matinee performance on Sunday September 17 at 2.30pm.
