First seen in 2010, Reasons to be Cheerful, a bold and jubilant coming of age tale, has gone on to play at theatres and festivals across the UK, in stadiums around the world, and even in front of HRH The Queen.

This joyful and defiant production, featuring classic hits including Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll, runs until Sunday..

Graeae’s Artistic Director Jenny Sealey told the Daily Echo: “We are calling it the last ever tour, but in my heart of hearts I know we will all be doing it again! Maybe in ten years time. There’s always going to be a reason to do Reasons I think

“Audiences will be moved and by the end they will want to get up and dance. That is why it has always been really difficult to define, it’s not musical theatre it’s really isn’t. Is it a play? Or is it a gig? It’s a beautiful hybrid of both of those things. There is something there for everyone and it’s a good, good night out. It’s sex, drugs and rock and roll.!
