DUE to huge demand, and over-priced lawyers, Lee Nelson is extending his smash-hit tour for a second time, and tomorrow he plays at Theatre Royal in Winchester.

You’ve seen him sneaking into places he shouldn’t be, now you can see him where he most definitely should be – live on stage with his sensational Serious Joker tour.

From council estate to comedy and entertainment king, Lee is the star of hit shows Well Good Show and Well Funny People. With five sell out tours to date and a host of appearances on Live at the Apollo, Lee is one of the biggest stand up stars in the country.

Lee Nelson was created by Simon Brodkin who, along with also appearing as Premier League superstar Jason Bent and dodgy medical practitioner Dr Bob, is the world’s best-known prankster as shown in his Channel 4 documentary Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer.

To date targets have included: Sepp Blatter, Britain’s Got Talent, Kanye West, Manchester City, Donald Trump, Philip Green and most recently Theresa May – Lee interrupted Prime Minister Theresa May’s speech to the Conservative Party conference in October last year, handing her a mocked-up P45 and telling her “Boris asked me to give this to you.”

Lee’s remarks were given at a time when there was much speculation regarding whether or not the Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, would seek to replace May as leader of the Conservative Party. He then went over to Johnson and gave him the ‘thumbs up’ gesture before he was removed from the venue.

Here, in his own inimitable style, he explains why he loves being on tour.

“Getting to see all the different parts of the country is the best bit of being on tour. Before that I only knew about London and Reading.

“I lived in London all my life and we had Reading classes at school.”

In his Lee Nelson stand-up routine, Simon Brodkin’s character interacts with his audience, telling them about his life, asking them questions, and then replying with responses that reflect his world view, his own ignorance or his own stereotypically antisocial attitudes.
