WHAT happened to the Queen of Hearts after Alice defeated her in Wonderland? She found another Kingdom to rule of course: Pantoland!

Ben Smart was excellent as the iniquitous Captain Hook, Alex Finch hilarious as the irrepressible Mad Hatter, Kelly Blackburn’s Dorothy was a fabulous cameo and Emily Rose-Mould a charming Aladdin.

Lizzie Diaper (Alice), Jane Turnham (Wicked Witch) and Laura Lamb (Queen) all developed great characters and sang beautifully.

This originally scripted, yet traditional, pantomime (including very difficult original songs) was brought to life essentially enthusiastically by this talented youthful group, with only a few dips in pace.

The contemporary ensemble dance numbers were energetic; there were some very cute (if mischievous!) pirates and good technical support with atmospheric lighting and a good blend of live and pre-recorded music.

PAC celebrates its 20 years anniversary soon – and with productions like this will certainly be around for at least another 20 years!
