TRAILING the lives of highschoolers, Loserville is a modern take on an old theme, good vs bad and love winning out in the end.

In this case the battle is between the Jocks and the Geeks, who are close to changing the interface of technology with their invention of communication between computers, when their own is so sadly lacking.

The sound left a lot to be desired and the band, all be it talented, drowned out a good 50 per cent of the lyrics.

The smatterings of laughter were testament to this as I suspect there were some great lines, but their content remains a mystery. It is down to the acting skills of the cast that the story was clear and the well formed characters rose above the samey music.

The lighting, set and animation were inventive and worked brilliantly leaving the actors to shine and the choreography (Harry Andreou) was cohesive and interesting, with not too many clichés.
