INFAMOUS Inspector Pratt returns to the scene of previous investigations at Bagshot House when one of his officers goes missing.

Aided and abetted by local amateur sleuth, Miss Maple, and his arguably more intelligent sidekick, Constable Thomkins, it is not long before mayhem and chaos ensues.

New owner of the B&B, Nancy Allwright, is shocked by the turn of events, not least the unexpected arrival of her missing husband, Squadron Leader ‘Stiffy’ Allwright but should she be so willing to vouch for landgirl, Virginia, or her two guests?

Vicky Giddings impressed as upper-crust Virginia, Hannah Brooks (Nancy) and Tony Maclachlan (‘Stiffy’) were spirited and Steve Davis was an accomplished Constable.

However, this Agatha Christie spoof should have had all the ingredients of a colourful comedy murder-mystery thriller but, unfortunately, insecurity in the dialogue, frequent prompt requirements and overlong scene changes meant that the overall effect was heavy, long and laboured.
