PUTTING on a show can be murder and this year the award-winning Encore Youth Theatre will be taking that a step further.

They have launched their new show, Curtains, which will be performed at the Theatre Royal Winchester in February 2015.

Curtains, a hilarious murder-mystery, set in the world of musical theatre, is one of the last collaborations between John Kander and Fred Ebb, the creative forces behind the iconic musicals Chicago and Cabaret.

Encore’s members are a talented and versatile group of young people aged 11 and over, who meet each September to work with a team of theatre professionals and rehearse every Sunday until February to put on a performance of dynamic musical theatre – and you can be part of it.

The ability to sing, dance and/or act also helps, but previous experience is not essential.

Auditions to be part of next year’s show take place over two days, June 28 and 29, at The Tower arts centre, and you must be available for both days.

This year, there is also an exciting opportunity for five younger children (aged seven to ten) to join the company.

Auditions will be held separately for them on June 26 from 6pm to 8pm.
