DIRECTOR and choreographer Harry Andreou picked a winning team for this modern take on Pride and Prejudice.

With the theme that true love never runs smoothly, we are introduced to recently-dumped greetings card copywriter Austin, very impressively played by Matt McGrath, while his brother Jeff is the ideal role for the comedian that is Adam Myers.

Stacey Barnett just shades the honours as the star of the show, singing beautifully and acting believably as Marcy, confused in her feelings for Austin.

Debutant Sarah Bayliss delivers a high-quality performance alongside Myers, as his not-going-out girlfriend Diana.

India McKenzie makes the most of her first company role, teamed with Jonathan Underhill as NYC Woman and Man.

Alex Clements again delivered perfect musical accompaniment, the traverse stage provided an intimate setting, with sound and lighting to professional standards.
