Pantomime is best judged not by normal standards but on how much the family audience enjoyed it and this one ticked the boxes.

Director Kay Baker knew what she was doing casting Wayne Ings (Tattiana) and Beverley Sel (Bustiana) as the Ugly Sisters.

They were simply hilarious, inter-acting superbly with the audience, with Ings given as good as he gave from a young front-row heckler!

A family-affair on-stage as well as off, Ashleigh Ings was an engaging Cinderella, Tara Barton-Leigh an equally-impressive Prince Charming and Jaye Wright a confident Buttons, immediately connecting with the audience.

Sue Barton-Leigh (Fairy Godmother), Georgie Ray Burton (Baron Hardup) and Maria Barnett (a particularly good solo as Dandini) all played their parts very well.

The cast and chorus all sang tunefully with the audience singing, clapping and swaying along to the Queen backing-tracks.

Colourful sets and costumes, some nice choreography – and a glitter-ball! A right laugh!
