Bishopstoke Players are staging Sinbad the Sailor ...his 8th Voyage, a pantomime by Alan P Frayn, from Wednesday, January 28 to Saturday, January 31.
Having promised never to go back to sea Sinbad is forced to make an 8th voyage to recover the Pearl of Peace from an old adversary, the Old Man of the Sea.
He has many adventures helped by ‘goodie’ Fortuna and accompanied by Princess Miranda, Norma Snickers, Silly Sally and Tinbad the Tailor, but is thwarted by ’baddie’ Evilena.
In the best pantomime tradition, good wins out in the end.
Tickets priced at £7 (£5 under 16s) (only £6/£4 on Wednesday) are available from 023 8069 3032, via the Bishopstoke Players’ website bishopstokeplayers.org or at the door, and all proceeds will be, as always, donated to Action for Children.
Performances are at 7.30 pm (and 2.30 pm on Saturday) at Bishopstoke Memorial Hall.
