An Indiana (or Indiana Jones Roger) adventure, pursuing the mythical idol the Crystal Roger, provided the narrative thread of the story.
Flitting from New York, via plane and under the ocean, to Egypt, the tropics and finally a volcano, the locations provided ample material for the musical numbers.
Visually very striking, with some fine costumes, backdrops and use of lighting, the production showcased some big musical numbers.
There was an interesting selection of music, Motown to Disney via The Proclaimers.
The choreographers produced some impressive routines.
There were many comic touches and the camel, which featured in the Egyptian segment, pretty much stole the show.
Very much an ensemble piece, the production offered the opportunity for many of the performers from the sizeable cast to shine.
Their enthusiasm and enjoyment was palpable throughout and overcame a few first night glitches.
