DRAWING material from Gilbert and Sullivan to the recent Disney phenomenon Frozen, FYT have put together a musical medley to cater for the broadest of tastes.
Simple staging emphasised the idea of a showcase, and the show nevertheless lacked neither interest nor colour.
There were some Lovely costumes pleased the eye and choreography was sprightly and fun.
Musical arrangement was excellent.
Director David Humphries drew out the subtleties of the material and with it excellent performances from his cast.
While notable were some of the dramatic numbers from the likes of Miss Saigon, Les Miserables and Evita, a particular highlight was a light and funny number from The Pirates of Penzance.
If the close proximity of the musicians to the stage occasionally overwhelmed the chorus, this was the only quibble in a show to recommend.
