DALIAN Players bring The Death of Me, a programme of two short plays, to the stage at Woolston Methodist Church next week.
The two short comedies focus on family bereavements and the restless spirits of their recently departed loved ones who await decisions from above as to whether they will be going ‘up’ or ‘down’ to their final resting places.
While waiting, they must watch helplessly while their families carve up their former estates to the questionable benefit of various family members of whom the spirits themselves are less than approving.
Despite their best attempts to undermine the plotting of their former families the spirits are kept in check by an officious angel who frequently has to remind them that their actions while in limbo will be taken into account in determining their ultimate fates.
