FOR their summer production, the members of Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society have chosen Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales.
Adapted for the stage by Dave Hollis, the play centres round a group of travellers who have met in the beer garden of the Tabard Inn before journeying on to Canterbury. They all have a comedic tale to tell ranging from the knockabout, physical humour of the Knight’s Tale, the bawdy night work of the Reeve’s Tale, to the ironies of the Pardoner’s Tale.
The production will be staged in the beautiful gardens of Appletree Court, Lyndhurst, tonight and tomorrow night.
Gardens open for picnics from 6pm with performances at 7.30pm.
