in Curtain Call
EVERYBODY should make time to attend to the voice of Dylan Thomas, and TFT gives us another chance to do so, with this tenth anniversary revival of their highly enjoyable, beautiful production.
The set design (by maestro Kevin Fraser and Andy Bumfrey) features a four poster bed, fairy lights and town architecture created round a gaily decorated architrave, which characters stand under or upon with equal abandon.
Fraser and Lyndon ford’s sound and lighting also deserve praise.
TFT regulars perform to their usual high standard, with Dan Scott proving of good presence and excellent voice, and Erin Churcher and Emily-Rose James bringing fresh lustre to the company.
After the fairy lights go out in the second half the energy seems to drop, till Abi Oscroft sings Polly Garter’s song.
Fish and chips are supplied with your ticket.
Alternatively, this show, among other productions, can be seen streamed from TFT’S website.
