A cunning servant lands himself two jobs. However, pleasing two masters is complex for the mischievous Truffaldino – the first master is a lady disguised as her brother, searching Venice for her long-lost lover, who just happens to be the second master. Juggling his duties and trying not to get rumbled, Truffaldino is caught in a hilarious whirlwind of mishaps, chaos and confusion.

Peter Symonds’ outdoor Shakespeare production always produces pleasant surprises, and in this year’s 1920s-set production it was |a delight to hear particularly well-spoken verse and enjoy strong characterisation, all to the accompaniment of a terrific nine-piece jazz band.
