AT JUST 13 years old a Hampshire teenager is making waves in the world of theatre.

Now Carla Arnold has made her West End debut in the award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical.

The King’s School, Fair Oak, pupil who also attends the Sally Johnson Academy of Dance in Hedge End, is playing a ballet girl alongside the central character of Billy Elliot in Mrs Wilkinson’s ballet class.

Mrs Wilkinson’s ballet girls feature throughout the show as the children’s ensemble, accompanying Billy on his dancing journey.

Carla is no stranger to the big stage and she previously performed in White Christmas at the Mayflower Theatre in 2011, where she played the part of Susan.

She has also performed in a panto at the Theatre Royal in Winchester.

Carla said: “I’m so excited, it’s a dream come true to perform on the London stage.”

Billy Elliot the Musical has been a huge hit worldwide, since its world premiere at Victoria Palace Theatre and has been seen by more than 9.5 million people.
