You’ll meet fascinating characters, discover funny facts that teachers never tell you about and be blown away by amazing 3D effects with its journey through two thousand years of history, from the Romans to the First World War from Wednesday to Sunday.

DOCTOR DOLITTLE

A SPARKLING new musical production of Doctor Dolittle continues at St. Swithun’s School Theatre, Winchester until tomorrow.

Featuring the show-stopping songs My Friend the Doctor, Talk to the Animals and Never Seen Anything Like It, this new production of Doctor Dolittle has spectacular sets, a 12-piece orchestra, and a cast of over 65 children, as well as adult actors.

Performed by Girl Guiding Winchester, this classic story of kindness to animals, follows the warm but wacky Doctor and his animal friends as they embark on an exciting quest in search of the Great Pink Sea Snail.

Their journey starts in the village of Puddleby-on-the- Marsh and takes them all to the far reaches of the globe.

On their way the Doctor is wrongly accused of murder, after helping Sophie the Seal escape from the circus. He goes on to encounter the Pushmi-Pullyu, the twoheaded llama, Toggle the Horse, little Tommy Stubbins and Matthew Mugg along with whole host of other animals.

PRESENTED by Martin Parsons (Sooty’s Magic Castle) and Kate Ashmead (Tweenies), plus featuring the recorded voices of Justin Fletcher (CBeebies) and Nicole Davis (CBeebies), puppet show Marty McDonald’s Farm is packed with fun, songs and laughter. Join Pongo the Pig, Sheena the Sheep and Molly-Moo the Cow in a quest to save Marty MacDonald’s Farm from Crafty the Crow and his friends – they’ll be needing the audience’s help to win the day!

The show is at Winchester Discovery Centre on Sunday.
