HE’S back on tour with a splash, following a sell-out four week West-End residency and a sold-out season at the Edinburgh Festival.

A firm favourite with his legendary performances, Omid Djalili’s stand-up awards include the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up, the EMMA Award and South Bank Award, as well as being a Perrier Award nominee.

Winner of the Best Actor Award for his lead role in The Infidel, Omid was also short-listed for a Peter Sellers Award at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards.

His first significant stand-up success came at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995 with Short, Fat Kebab Shop Owner’s Son, followed by The Arab and The Jew the following year.

His TV appearances have included US sitcom Whoopi with Whoopi Goldberg and he appeared on stage as Fagin in Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver!

Djalili has appeared in a number of films, most notably Gladiator, The Wo rld Is Not Enough, Casanova and Sex and the City 2.

The British Iranian comic will have the sold out audience in stitches as he performs at The Point tonight.
