‘TIS PITY SHE’S A WHORE

NUFFIELD presents Cheek By Jowl ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore next week.

In this violent and bloody drama, we watch a brother and sister’s passionate descent into hell. Incest, morality, religion and corruption all make this play as shocking and controversial today as it was almost 400 years ago.

‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore runs from Tuesday to Saturday.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

METTA Theatre presents an imaginative new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland set during the First World War, featuring innovative puppetry and live music.

In 1915. Bombs rain down. Sheltering in her dusty cellar, Alice rediscovers her past amongst old lamp shades and moth-eaten christening gowns.

Meanwhile her son Alan, a First World War soldier, makes the same imaginary journey down the rabbit hole to escape the madness of the trenches, returning them both to a wonderland of talking rabbits, mad hatters & savage queens.

Based on Lewis Carroll’s literary classic and the real life Alice who inspired it, Metta Theatre bring this charming new play imaginatively to life with live music, puppetry and object manipulation.

Starring Jack Parker (War Horse, A Dog’s Heart) and Mandy Travis (25 Little Angel Theatre productions, Muppets Most Wanted), it’s at the Berry Theatre in Hedge End tomorrow.
