IN AN evening that promises plenty of laughs, four talented stand-up acts will take to the stage of the Theatre Royal Winchester.

To night, Romesh Ranganathan, Harriet Kemsley, Sean McLoughlin and Elis James will perform as part of the city’s Comedy Festival.

Critically-acclaimed Romesh Ranganathan made his debut in 2010 and has quickly made a name for himself on the comedy circuit, writing for numerous shows and supporting the likes of Seann Walsh, Bill Burr,Paul Chowdhry and one of his comedy heroes, Ricky Gervais.

He has appeared on Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News and The Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live.

Harriet Kemsley’s career kicked off in 2011 when she won the nationwide female comedy competition, Funny’s Funny.

In addition to touring on the comedy circuit since then, in 2013 she supported Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown on their nationwide tours.

Sean McLoughlin is an amiable, likeable comedian who can charm and surprise audiences with his self-deprecating humour and personal subject matter.

His original and accessible material is combined with great comic timing and he is considered to be one of the most talented young acts on the circuit today.

Elis James has been described as the most exciting face of new comedy with a natural performance style that is both hilariously witty and accessible.
