Birmingham Stage Company brings its hugely successful tour of Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain complete with all new amazing 3D special effects to Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts from Tuesday, November 11 – Saturday, November 15.

Can you beat battling Boudicca? What if a Viking moved in next door? Would you lose your heart or head to Henry VIII? Can evil Elizabeth entertain England? Will Parliament survive gunpowder Guy? Should King Charles keep his head? Dare you stand and deliver to dastardly Dick Turpin?

Barmy Britain is adapted by Terry Deary and Neal Foster from Deary’s best selling Horrible Histories books. Terry Deary is the world’s best selling |non-fiction author for children. His 50 Horrible Histories titles have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide.

Birmingham Stage Company is the UK’s premiere company producing theatre for children, well known for its acclaimed productions of The Jungle Book, Kensuke’s Kingdom, Skellig and Roald Dahl adaptations including George’s Marvellous Medicine and currently James and the Giant Peach.

BSC Actor/Manager Neal Foster will direct the show with 3D special effects by Amazing Interactives. The cast is Laura Dalgleish, Alison Fitzjohn, Benedict Martin and Gary Wilson, with Martin Atkinson understudying.

Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain will entertain all ages with its journey through 2,000 years of history from the Romans to the First World War.
