PREPARE for mayhem as Pocket Theatre performs its very own take on William Shakespeare’s musical comedy Twelfth Night.

Identical twins are separated by a ship wreck and washed up in a magical land of seductive celebrities, surly servants and wise fools. This show will be a celebration of champagne, sexuality, skirmishes, singing, stockings and suspenders!

The company, who have made a name for themselves with small-scale, highenergy productions including last year’s pantomime, Cinderella, comprises a dozen talented performers who have made their names with the region’s operatic societies and youth theatres and between them have racked up a host of Daily Echo Curtain Call awards.

Co-director, David Tatnall, said “This is our first attempt at a Shakespeare and I think it’s fair to say there is a definite ‘Pocket’ feel about proceedings! Come along and see what you think – it won’t be boring!”

The show is directed by the partnership of Katherine Evans and David Tatnall, who play Viola and Malvolio respectively, and also stars Mark Ponsford as Feste, Matthew Sturgeon as Sir Toby Belch, Seb Ward as Orsino and Pocket debutant Lucy Miles as Olivia.

The show is at 7.30pm from Tuesday, July 21, to Friday, July 24, at the Hanger Farm Arts Centre in Totton. Tickets online or by calling 02380 667683.
