THE world premiere of Gangsta Granny makes the first of its three South Coast stops next week.

Brought to the stage by Birmingham Stage Company, the acclaimed producers of Horrible Histories, Gangsta Granny is at Kings Theatre Portsmouth next week ahead of stops in Southampton and Bournemouth.

It’s Friday night and Ben knows that means only one thing – staying with Granny! There will be cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake and Ben knows one thing for sure – it’s going to be sooooooooo boring!

But what Ben doesn’t know is that Granny has a secret – and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could possibly imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny!

Authord David Walliams is one of the judges on TV's Britain's Got Talent and is the creator of the ground-breaking Little Britain comedy series.

Gangsta Granny is his most popular book and was shortlisted for both The Red House Childrens Book Award and for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize.

A TV version of the book was shown on TV in Christmas 2013 with an all-star cast including Walliams himself.

Gangsta Granny went straight to number one in the childrens book charts and has been translated into 30 languages.

It's on stage at Kings Theatre Southsea from Tuesday to Saturday and visits Mayflower Theatre from March 30 to April 3 and Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre from July 27 to 30.
