AN EX-SNOOKER PLAYER, A CANADIAN AND A CAMP TV PRESENTER WALK INTO A COMEDY CLUB...

LOL Comedy Club returns to Bournemouth Pavilion next Friday 10 June for its next hilarious instalment.

Despite looking like he's just stepped out of a Littlewoods catalogue, Sean Meo has actually been a professional stand-up since 1989. Before that, like his namesake Tony, he was a full time snooker player and was a quarter finalist in the English Championships of 1987. Since then, he has risen to the very top of the UK comedy scene and is much in demand as both a stand-up and a writer and was awarded the title Comic of The Year by Timeout Magazine.

Sean has appeared at the Kilkenny, Cork and Montreal Comedy Festivals; worked alongside such diverse names as Clive James and Jimmy Tarbuck and appeared on everything from Des O'Connor Tonight, Celebrity Squares to Talking About Sex for Channel 4.

He has performed all over the world including Montreal, Singapore, Melbourne, New Zealand, Ireland and extensively in the US including San Francisco, New York and the Riviera in Las Vegas.

As a result, Sean has a reputation as one of the most reliably funny acts on the international circuit.

Allyson Smith has, from the moment she put down the chalk brush in 2000 and picked up a mic, been tickling Canada’s comedy scene to great acclaim. Playing to packed rooms has become like another day in the classroom for this former school teacher.

Her credits include her own hour long Comedy Now special, appearances on CBC Radio’s hit show The Debaters, as well as the Winnipeg, Halifax and Just For Laughs Festivals, to name just a few. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-Up. Allyson is now making waves in the UK where sassy stand-up and hilariously insightful commentary is going down a treat.

Stephen Bailey is a comedian, television presenter and writer. Familiar to audiences of Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side (Channel 5), Stephen recently supported Katherine Ryan on her UK tour. He's also taken his award-nominated show Stephen Bailey: Should've Been a Popstar on a mini-tour to Europe, where he sold out every performance.

All line ups are subject to change, but don’t worry, we are told they would be replaced with someone just as funny!
