NUFFIELD's new autumn season boasts two world premieres.

A major new musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox and a brand new play Dedication written by award-winning playwright Nick Dear dramatising Shakespeare’s mysterious relationship with his patron, the 3rd Earl of Southampton are brought to the venue later this year.

Nuffield Director Sam Hodges said: “Creating brand new work is integral to the national identity of Nuffield and this season reinforces our well-established commitment to telling Southampton’s story.”

The Shakespeare 400 celebrations continue in October with The Complete Deaths, a sublimely funny tribute to the Bard which sees all 74 onstage deaths performed.

Stuff and Nonsense present The Emperor's New Clothes, a brand new romp through a classic eccentric tale populated with puppets, music and song.

Four gripping journeys collide in an extraordinary world of breath-taking movement and exquisite storytelling in Institute, a Gecko production created by Amit Lahav, which arrives in November.

Tall Stories’ magical musical stage adaptation of Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler flies into town for February half term.
