MORE than 120 talented dancers from across Hampshire will take to the stage for the Parkewood School of Dance ballet version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe this weekend.
The three to 18-year-olds hope to sell out Thornden Hall in Chandlers Ford for their run of four shows, in aid of The Murray Parish Trust, which raises funds for Southampton General Hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Celebrated TV actress Sarah Parish, who founded the Hampshire charity with her husband actor James Murray, enjoyed a sneak preview of the show when she watched the cast in rehearsal and described the standards as 'professional'.
“I am very proud of all our pupils and the way that they have worked so very hard over the last six months, supported by my wonderful staff, enthusiastic parents and former pupils, to raise funds for the Murray Parish Trust,” said Principal Lynne Wiltshire.
Shows take place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £12 for adults and £10 for children, are available via the box office e-mail address parkewoodtickets@hotmail.com quoting reference Narnia in the subject box.
