THE original Frankie Valli in the West End smash-hit Jersey Boys is heading to Southampton’s Stage Door for his first solo performance outside London.

Ryan Molloy received the Whatsonstage People’s Choice award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal as Frankie Valli in London’s Jersey Boys, a role he has also played on Broadway.

Along with being one of musical theatre’s biggest stars, Ryan is also well-known as lead singer in Frankie Goes to Hollywood, replacing Holly Johnson when the band reformed in 2004.

The Olivier-nominated Broadway and West End star is set to wow audiences at an intimate show on Saturday January 21 2017 where Ryan’s unique voice will transport you across the musical genres, as he performs songs from some of his favourite artists including, of course, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. There’s also a rare chance to hear the hits of Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Along with well-known songs, Ryan will bring music from his self-penned musical Che Guevara’s Night Off as well as previewing tracks from his forthcoming album Jetson Molloy & the Intergalactic Kittens.

Having just completed a run in the critically acclaimed 27 at London’s Cockpit Theatre, Ryan says: “I’m so excited to bring together all of my favourite music into one show. This is the first time I’ve performed solo outside London and with a UK tour in the pipeline next year after I’ve launched my next album, Southampton’s Stage Door is the perfect place to start!”

Accompanied by a live band, this one-off extravaganza promises to bring the glitz and glamour of the West End and Broadway to the heart of Southampton!

Tickets are £25 from thestagedoor.org.uk or 023 8063 0300.
