IT'S described as 'Nudge, nudge comedy with some lively songs and a great deal of energy!'

RAODS present Nell Gwynn at the Plaza Theatre, Romsey next week.

Written by Jessica Swales, with score by Nigel Hess, it will run from Tuesday 8 – Saturday 12 November, at 7.30pm

Nell Gwynn sells oranges for a living at one of the newly reopened theatres of Charles II. Her natural good humour, and fearlessness, catches the eye of leading man Charles Hart - who makes her one of the stage's first actresses. Where she also catches the eye of Charles II himself.... Full of bawdy fun, this lovely play will keep you royally entertained with the story of Nell's remarkable life. (With the Daily Echo's Sarah Reilly in the cast!)

During the run of Nell Gwynn, the Plaza's Green Room will be used to display paintings by Ken Blake (1920-2012) - who exhibited many times in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition - and by his son Bob Blake (a RAODS member since before RAODS owned the Plaza).

Tickets for Nell Gwynn are available from www.plazatheatre.com or from the Romsey Tourist Information Centre on 01794 512987.

Not suitable for children under 12.
