GOODNIGHT Mister Tom is a recent musical written by Hampshire author Michelle Magorian based on her highly successful novel.
Featuring music by Gary Carpenter, Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society are performing the show at The Point, Eastleigh from Thursday May 11 to Saturday May 13.
Certain to make audiences of all ages laugh and cry in equal measure, this is a punchy retelling of the poignant and well known story of young William Beech who is evacuated to the English countryside at the start of World War II who forms a close bond with elderly recluse, Tom Oakley. Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society are performing the musical with members of EOMS junior section Footlights Youth Theatre and students from Wyvern College Fair Oak. Performances start at 7.30pm with 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.
