TWO of the biggest stars in musical theatre come together for a stunning concert on the Mayflower stage tomorrow.

Samantha Barks and Kerry Ellis will perform musical theatre classics and songs from Samantha Barks new album. Expect On My Own, As Long as He Needs Me and even some Disney.

After rising to fame as a contestant on BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008 Samantha Barks has wowed fans and critics alike with her stunning voice and captivating performances in film, theatre and television. She will be joined by Kerry Ellis who originated the role of Meat, in Queen’s We Will Rock You and was the first British Elphaba in the worldwide smash, Wicked.

It was Barks’ performance as Éponine in the West End production of Les Misérables that led to her first movie credit, reprising the role in Tom Hooper’s Oscar winning adaptation. Showered with critical acclaim, she was nominated for a prestigious Screen Actors Guild Award and announced as Empire Magazine’s Best Female Newcomer.

Kerry Ellis also played Elphaba at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway for six months, before returning to London in the role for a further six months. Her other leading role credits include Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, Nancy in Oliver! ,Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon and Fantine in Les Misérables, amongst many others.
