RENOWNED Winchester-based Blue Apple Theatre company will present its annual summer production at the Theatre Royal Winchester in June.
Changes is based on Greek myths that focus on many profound areas of human nature through the characters of classic gods, heroes and villains.
As well as using entertaining metaphors to tackle some of the challenges that people with learning disabilities face in society, the play also explores significant life experiences that are universal to everyone.
The play is written by Winchester-based playwright Susan Morris and directed by Blue Apple’s artistic director, Richard Conlon. The large ensemble cast is comprised of experienced local actors with learning disabilities who have previously performed and toured extensively throughout the south of England – as well as treading the boards professionally at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London last year.
