Stage Round Up

Shouldn’t it be The Three Musketeers? Not with Interalia theatre’s latest production!

For the very first time, an often overlooked novel has been adapted especially for the stage by Hampshire writer Nick Scovell.

The Four Musketeers will open the new Octagon Studio Theatre at Fareham’s Ferneham Hall on Monday as part of the theatre’s 30th Anniversary Celebrations, giving the venue two theatres in one.

The sword play spectacular runs until Wednesday.

n Next up at Ferneham Hall is the age old tale of boy meets girl and the complications which ensue.

Anything Goes is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores boasting countless favourites including De-lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out of You, All Through the Night, Anything Goes, You’re The Top and Blow, Gabriel, Blow...

This timeless musical is currently enjoying a Broadway revival across the pond and has recently scooped 3 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Ferneham Hall regulars STP and their talented young cast invite you aboard this musical journey as they set sail from Wednesday to Saturday.

n THE popular Carl Rosa Opera Company return to Chichester Festival Theatre with Iolanthe, Gilbert & Sullivan’s absurdly comic fantasy that dissects class and the political system with trademark wit and delightful escapism.

Despite being written over a century ago, Iolanthe is still topical and relevant. It is set in a topsy-turvy political world with a hung Parliament and opposing political parties competing for public support.

Add an Arcadian shepherd in search of true love, a fairy invasion at Westminster, and other colourful characters making mischief, and the stage is set for confusion, romantic complications and revelations.

Iolanthe runs from Monday to Saturday.
