TALENTED youngsters have a chance to take to the stage at The Mayflower, Southampton, this Christmas.
Qdos Entertainment, the company staging Jack and the Beanstalk at the theatre, is searching for dance schools to provide the “Babes” for this year’s pantomime.
Jonathan Kiley, executive producer of Jack and the Beanstalk said: “This is a terrific opportunity for a Southampton-based dance school to perform on the stage at The Mayflower and be part of a spectacular pantomime led by Julian Clary, Nigel Havers and Lee Mead.”
The successful dance school will be chosen at auditions to be held on Saturday, July 7. During the audition process dance schools will be required to perform two routines; one modern dance component and one classical/balletbased piece. Dance schools will need to provide juvenile dancers at a maximum height of 4ft 6in throughout the duration of the fourweek run, as well as rehearsals prior to opening.
They should register in advance of the audition day with Matthew Campbell at Qdos Entertainment: mcamp bell@qdosentertainment.co.u k orcall 0207 430 7900.
n Jack and the Beanstalk runs from December 22 to January 19.
