THIS smooth and sophisticated Christmas holiday show is a classy adult contrast to the usual predictable pantos.

A musical celebration of travel (although unfortunately eschewing Bacharach & David’s classic Trains And Boats And Planes) covering romantic railways, thrilling planes, luxury liners, and atmospheric road trips, this hugely entertaining show manages to include 45 enjoyable numbers.

The well-structured material ranges from Sinatra’s inviting Come Fly With Me, John Denver’s yearning Leaving On A Jet Plane, and Queen’s jaunty Bicycle, through Jeff Lynne’s sparkling Mr Blue Sky and Otis Redding’s languid Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay, to The Animals’ We Gotta Get Out Of This Place and Paul McCartney’s Long And Winding Road.

Particularly outstanding are the evocative I Love Paris with its accordion backing and Eiffel Tower details, and Paul Simon’s moving poetic images in Homeward Bound.

This wonderfully enjoyable show features four fine musicians/ vocalists/ actors playing and singing live without mics in the intimate space of the Salberg Studio. Costumes, choreography and suitcase props are simple and effective.

Holding it all together is vastly experienced musical arranger Glyn Kerslake on keyboards and vocals.

Supporting are the vivacious Elaine Glover and Matthew Harvey, playing various instruments and delivering strong vocal harmonies.

Making her professional debut, Natasha Brown is strikingly charismatic, singing, acting and performing with endearing elan.

Come Fly With Me runs until January 17.
