BASED on the successful offBroadway musical Nunsense, developed from a range of greetings cards that poked fun at the Catholic church, Dan Goggin’s comedy was an immediate hit.

Adapted for an all-male cast, the show loses none of its humour, and possibly gains some as a result.

The sale of greetings cards by the New Jersey nuns raises money to pay for the burial of 52 food-poisoned sisters, four of whom are in the freezer while the shortfall in funds is raised.

The five cast members all contributed equally to what is, by some distance, the funniest show I have ever seen.

The elder Sisters – David Humphries (Regina), Malcolm Clarke (Robert Anne) and Adam Myers (Hubert) – were all hilarious, but the youngsters – Ross Cobbold (Amnesia) and Aled Price (Leo) – matched them at every step, including tap and ballet!

Director Jason Curtis had a dream cast to work with and they didn’t disappoint.
