Hedge End North neighbourhood policing team

Sgt Chrissie Wall

Chrissie started her career at Winchester working on the response team as well as the neighbourhood team. She was promoted in 2005 to Farnborough as a patrol sergeant before moving to the Southern Support and Training Centre in Netley as Initial Training Sergeant for the Force. Chrissie joined the team in 2013 and is the neighbourhood sergeant for Hedge End, West End and Botley.

PCSO Mica Coppin

PCSO Mica Coppin has been working for the Hampshire Constabulary since August 2006 and has been involved in a number of high profile jobs since her start.

By working together with other agencies the West End team we have been able to resolve a varied number of issues, vastly improving the quality of life for many residents in West End and its surrounding area's.

Residents should not be afraid to contact us when they seek advice and support from the local authorities. If you are being effected by crime or you have information that can help us in the fight against crime, we would be more than happy to hear from you and can be contacted by calling 101 or 999 respectively.

Mica can be seen supporting many local events in the area, if you are involved in or are hosting an event in the local area let us know on 101 and we will see what we can do to support you or provide advice.

About this neighbourhood

Bursledon is made up of rural areas, private dwellings and Pilands’ Wood estate, which is predominantly social housing. There is an infant and junior school with a Children's’ Centre at Long Lane, with a large recreation ground and tennis courts, play park, Parish Hall and Parish Council Office.
Tesco Extra has a large store with recycling collection points. There is also a small village shopping area in Lowford, which provides local amenities, convenience store, community centre and pre-school. There is a take-away and convenience store providing local services for Pilands Wood as well as the Pilands Wood Centre, which has an on-line computer suite, pre-school, youth clubs and special interest group meetings. There is a skate ramp and multi-use games arena (MUGA) at Pilands Park.
