Cadnam neighbourhood policing team
- PS Mark Freeman
- I am Sergeant Mark Freeman and it is with pride that I take on my new responsibility as the Safer Neighbourhood Team Sergeant at Fordingbridge station. In my previous 26 years service with Hampshire Constabulary I have worked across the country as well as serving in Portsmouth, Winchester, Romsey, Force Support Unit and Andover. My role as Sergeant for Fordingbridge is to help make sure policing responds to the needs and concerns of local residents and communities. The teams are in contact with the community through regular patrols, beat surgeries, in addition to parish and town council meetings. Residents have consistent opportunities to influence the action we take to tackle their priorities. "I see Fordingbridge/ Lyndhurst as a role offering a diversity of challenges, and an opportunity for me to lead a team dedicated to keeping both towns and surrounding villages as pleasant places to live and work. Joining experienced and motivated officers I feel privileged to be part of a team who are already helping to drive crime levels down resulting in fewer victims of crime. From my experience serving in other parts of Hampshire, I’ve seen what the effects of crime and anti-social behaviour can have on an area and its inhabitants. I’m determined to tackle anyone who believes they can act with impunity or who is willing to undermine the quality of life for others

About this neighbourhood
Cadnam is a village situated in Hampshire, England, within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park. It has existed since the medieval period, when it was (and still is) an important crossroads between Southampton and the towns of Bournemouth and Poole. The village was named after the farmstead of a man named Cadda. Currently, Cadnam is included in the Parish of Copythorne, a smaller village lying a mile to the north which along with Bartley makes up the Parish of Copythorne.
The force responsible for policing and crime prevention in this area is Hampshire Constabulary.
