PCSO Mark Atrill

PCSO Mark Atrill is the PCSO for Holbury and also assisting in the Dibden area of Hythe and has been since January 2013, prior to this he has worked in Hythe & Dibden for 2 years and prior to that, Marchwood where he was their designated PCSO for 2 years. Part of Marks role is to assist in the reduction of low level crime and anti-social behaviour and I work closely with my Police colleagues to achieve this. He works closely with partner agencies and member of the local community in order to gain intelligence and a better understanding of local issues. Mark has also set up and runs the Hythe Junior PCSO Scheme where children from Hythe Primary and Waterside Primary get an insight to the role of PCSO and the Police, this is all aimed to assist with the children's confidence and to help build bridges between the Police and the Community. As well as this Mark runs the Official Hythe Police Twitter Account where he regularly updates (or "Tweets!") local information, and discusses local issues. You can follow us on twitter by using @HythePolice. Please feel free to email Mark at mark.atrill@hampshire.pnn.police.uk as we welcome any assistance or comments that may enable us to ensure that your neighbourhood is as safe as possible, or do not hesitate to approach me or the team out and about in the village, the weekly Beat Surgery that is held at Costa Coffee in Hythe every Wednesday at 11am or leave a message for him via the force Switchboard (101) quoting collar number 14387

About this neighbourhood

map

Holbury is a village on the eastern side of the New Forest. It is part of the parish of Fawley and is included in the Waterside area of the New Forest.

Historically a small and scarcely populated village, Holbury and the adjoining hamlet of Hardley now boast a sizeable population and a considerable number of shops and businesses. This growth has been principally due to the influence of the Esso oil refinery at Fawley and the areas proximity to the city of Southampton.

Holbury, in the latest index of multiple deprivation (IMD), was ranked in England 26710 out of 32,482, where 1 was the most deprived and 32,482 the least.

This is broken down further by income, employment, education, skills and health barriers to housing and services, the living environment and crime (England).
